Half Way To Submittal

Wednesday we sent off our plans and application to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants. Now we wait an average of six weeks. We're hoping for better than average.

We also met with the city this week and they were kind enough to take a prelimanry look at what we have and suggest a few additional items so that we can fast track it. We shall submit on Monday. So close, people, so close we can taste it.

Meantime, Chef has been keeping busy repurposing salvaged lumber from the site. Our daughter has a new custom made bed. We've had some lovely fires during this frosty Florida winter. A friend has some pieces for a class project. Rumor has it, it will become a trebuchet!

Keeping us warm this winter is the generosity of friends to The S&S. Materials and equipment have been thoughtfully given to the green cuisine cause and we are pleased as punch to thank the kind and thoughtful individuals responsible. Good karma, coming back at ya!
