Demolition

Chef's been getting restless, waiting for the demolition permit to come through. Now he is a happy, dirty mess ripping down walls. It is exciting to see the space open up. It allows our vision to become clearer, easier to envision on the emerging nakedness.

He has been super conscientious about saving every scrap of reusable building material. If we can't reuse it personally, we will donate it to Habitat for Humanity's Restore, here in Ft. Pierce. That is a great resource we check out weekly, before we buy anything new. In fact, all our commercial equipment is second hand. Why pillage more resources?

So, sometimes we must tear down to reshape in a form more reflective of who we are now. That's no reason to throw out what is still usable. We strive to be conscious in our every decision of the consequences; for us and our planet.
